LI~LY Celebrates Double Success at the 2026 Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards

Celebrating Double Success at the Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards

We’re incredibly proud to share that LI~LY has been awarded Cheshire Restaurant of the Year, while our Chef Patron, Aiden Byrne, has been honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards.

The awards celebrate the very best of Cheshire’s food, drink and hospitality industry, making this double recognition an incredibly proud moment for our entire team.

Two Awards, One Incredible Evening

Being named Cheshire Restaurant of the Year is a huge honour and recognises our commitment to creating an exceptional dining experience through outstanding food, warm hospitality and a dedication to excellence.

The evening became even more special when Aiden was surprised with the Outstanding Contribution Award – a prestigious accolade selected personally by Cheshire Life Editor, Joanne Goodwin, recognising his significant and lasting contribution to food, drink and hospitality.

Speaking about the award, Joanne said: “Aiden Byrne’s contribution to the food and drink and hospitality industry is truly deserving of this special award. With Sarah and his outstanding team by his side, he has made LI~LY Restaurant by Aiden Byrne the pride of Cheshire. Aiden sets the standard, not just for the county of Cheshire, to which he has remained so loyal as a chef and business owner, but across the industry.

A Proud Moment for Team LI~LY

Speaking after receiving the awards, Aiden said: “I’m genuinely blown away. To be recognised as Cheshire Restaurant of the Year is an incredible honour because it reflects the hard work, passion and commitment of every single person at LI~LY. This isn’t about one individual; it’s about an amazing team who turn up for every service, determined to give our guests the very best experience possible.

To then receive the Outstanding Contribution Award completely took me by surprise. I honestly didn’t see it coming, which makes it even more special.

Receiving recognition from The MICHELIN Guide and being awarded Three AA Rosettes has already been an incredibly proud moment for everyone at LI~LY, but these awards from Cheshire Life feel particularly meaningful because they celebrate not only what we do on the plate, but the people, passion and community behind the restaurant.

Sarah and I are incredibly proud of our team, and we are hugely grateful to our guests, suppliers and the Cheshire community for their continued support. These awards belong to everyone who has been part of our journey.”

Sarah Byrne, Co-Founder of LI~LY, added:

“To be recognised by the Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards is incredibly humbling. We are so proud of our team, whose passion and attention to detail make everything we do possible, and we are incredibly thankful to every guest who has supported us along the way.

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Cheshire Life, the judging panel and everyone involved in the Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards for recognising the passion, creativity and dedication that continue to shape LI~LY.
